Burn Camino. I reached Santiago a week ago and really miss it

I always understand when people say they miss the walking, the time, the contemplation, the hostels, the villages, the scenery, and everything to do with the Camino. I believe that I will return until the day I die.

Lance,

For all of us who feel as you although it be physically impossible to actually be on the camino we will return via our precious memories.
...Long may they endure!

Recently I saw a man in a wheelchair being helped to complete the Frances by a friend of his and volunteers. Not suggesting that you would be willing to do that but it can be done, it would seem, even if you're on life support.

One day I will travel the same road as you do now. Maybe they may be a time when we can both flying into Santiago and meet over a bottle of Vino Tinto and regale each other with our stories but until then Buen Camino dear friend.

Buen Camino, Lance,

Hoping that all the events are joyous ones. And if the odd downer comes up, make some lemonade with those lemons. Hey, lemonade is always welcome on the Camino.....
Especially if it's Limonada

Am finding that I've started to retrace the whole route from SJPdP to Santiago on Google Maps along the Frances and it's keeping me patient enough to happily wait for the day I start a new, but shorter, walk from Burgos this year.

It also brings back great memories as I mentally 'walk' the map.
