Only a week to go....

Feel the fear...and do it anyway.
Time of past OR future Camino
Plan to walk the full Camino Frances end of March or beginning of April 2016
Finally, after thinking about it for the past 3 years, planning it for the past 2 years, training for the past year, I finally have a week to pack. Flying to Paris next Monday, 28th of March, to hopefully start my Camino on 1st of April.
Feeling a mixture of excitement and fear. Hopefully the excitement will increase and the fear decrease as I go.

You have already made the biggest decision which is to walk the Camino. It's the unknowns that can sometimes cause us a bit of the jitters or nervousness. You will do great once you get started. Just let go of any worries and embrace the journey! Buen Camino

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Oh I love the last week before you gogogo! All the anxiety falls away on your first day walking. You'll be so tired the first night you'll sleep like a top and wake up with just the excitement left. Seriously, I was a basket case. I just couldn't do it without feeling like I had all my bases covered - and I had no idea what or where the bases were. There really is just no way to avoid the anxiety - but in the end it will all be absolutely fine and you are going to have a great time.

Will see you on the way! Buen Camino!

I'm with you on this! Leaving in a little over three weeks, and I'm so busy with work, taxes, etc that I don't have time to focus on the nerves--but every now and then I do get the "what the heck am I doing" twinge (as well as the knee twinge, but that's for another thread.) Congratulations to both of us, Cruiser52, and to everyone else here, on "doing it anyway"!

Hi, wish you a wonderful journey and a Buen Camino, Peter.

I'm also feeling that mixture of excitement and fear ! Im starting on 5th April...and only just got onto the forum. Suddenly it seems there are a hundred things I haven't even thought of !
Oh well, I guess I will just have to take it as it comes...surrender to whatever the Camino has in store for me. At some point it will be too late to do any more than 'just do it '. Can't wait now !
Buen Camino
