Time of past OR future Camino
Camino Portugues (June-July 2018)
Hello all! After arriving to Europe a few weeks ago, I decided to change from Camino Frances to Camino Portugues (time was the biggest factor, plus knee issues so a shorter distance seemed smarter). But all the planning I had done (including guidebook) was for Frances. I am currently planning to begin my trek in Coimbra up to Oporto (then taking a few days off to return to Spain, where I am currently living), then resuming again from Oporto. I will be in Lisbon for a couple of days before going to Coimbra; where can I get a passport? I'd like to stick to the coast as much as possible, though am excited to meet pilgrims so sounds like it may be worth working my way into the central coast. Because I am changing plans and trying to reorganize in the next week, I'd appreciate advice anyone can offer re apps I could download for guidance, as well as suggestions for planning last minute. There are so many threads here it's hard to work through everything!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
We are starting our adventure in Porto as well. I too would like to know where to get a Passport

I hope you have time to enjoy Coimbra...and I am not sure if it is on your route, as I was a tourist there, but there is a Roman settlement which is very well preserved and currently being promoted as a wonderful place to visit. Look up Conimbriga. At any rate, wishing you all the best for a bom caminho, and buen camino!

I am actually planning to spend 1-2 days there. I have friends who told me it was a great city. So good to hear confirmation and for the recommendation!! Thank you!
