Go swimming at the end of the day in the municipal swimming pools. Most small towns have them, and for 2 or 3 Euros: it's a great way to cool off and relax. Estella would have to be my pick; indoor pool, sauna, spa baths that practically cured my walking injuries!

A lot of municipal pools in Spain will insist on you wearing a swimming cap. Sometimes they'll lend you one (nasty) but they don't always sell them. They don't weigh anything so remember to pack one.
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The albergue in Boente (about 5 (??) km from Melide) also has a small pool, inaugurated this year I believe. Great albergue, too, at least if you don't have to sleep in the overflow room. The owner told me that big room was rarely open outside of August. Buen camino, Laurie
