Place to stay in Santiago ?

Hi all fellow pilgrims !

Planning is a lot of fun, but too much time before departure means too much thinking............... :?

I am just wondering if it is necessary to book a place to stay in Santiago in advance, or if it will be easy to find a place to stay when you get there. If my camino goes well, I will arrive in Santiago around the 1st of October.

I think you should be fine reserving a few days in advance (either by calling or reserving online). That leaves you with some flexibility regarding arrival date.

You may even be fine walking into Santiago without a reservation, but then of course you would have less to choose from.
