When you find out let us know - 5 caminos and I still haven't figured it out.Post Camino
I intend walking all of the 800 km CF. I am intrigued to know how one can settle back to normal life after 5 or 6 weeks away. Thanks

Start planning the next camino. It helps.I am intrigued to know how one can settle back to normal life after 5 or 6 weeks away.
@Mettetäti , I agree with you 100%. I am back exactly 2 weeks now after CF, and planning my next one, in as early as May 2020, is what keeps me going.Start planning the next camino. It helps.
how [to] settle back to normal life after 5 or 6 weeks away
I have found that these nagging things called work ...
I actually have no difficulty returning to everyday life and not being on the Camino. Never had difficulty even after the first time I walked it, and I have walked it several times since. Just one of those things that was enjoyable while doing it and now am doing something else. My life at home.I have a two step process:
1) Stop somewhere different for 3 to 5 days and smell the roses
2) My flight home is at least 24 hours and the trip from the airport past familiar landmarks is a good grounding back to normality

Easy, just remember your friends and family lives continued, so while they will be polite but not that interested in your experience.Post Camino

True. I have never bored family and friends with my Camino photos and stories. They may ask me about it a little bit, but it never goes beyond that. That is save but for a couple of them who have interest in doing it someday. I can totally understand why. Nobody really wants to hear about someone's else's holiday trip while they were still at home working, or whatever. It would be like those comedy shows where the characters are trapped at a relative or neighbor's house having to endure a vacation photos slideshow, lol.Easy, just remember your friends and family lives continued, so while they will be polite but not that interested in your experience.
I am only able to settle back down to normal life after returning home if I am quite confident there is a "next camino" in my near future.Post Camino

@Camino Chrissy, I guess that sums it up best for the way I feel.I am only able to settle back down to normal life after returning home if I am quite confident there is a "next camino" in my near future.
