They will do a good business from all those bargain airline flying pilgrims who find they cannot take their hiking sticks on board.

As an aside, Spain being...well...Spain, and IMHO, it is reasonable to expect that the aviation security folks will get more strict about allowing hiking sticks through security screening, as it pushes business to the Correos... There may even be some price competition between what the airlines will charge and what the Correos charges to ship your poles onward...

Other observation - the walled space where the Correos is to open is just OUTSIDE security. Note the airline check-in counters just beyond the Correos site...

Just sayin...
