I'm thinking of taking a small solar power unit to power up electonics such as ipod and electronic book and gps. anyone tried this?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Its not necessary and why carry the extra weight? Most refugios have outlets/power points that you can plug into... just remember to carry the necessary plug adaptor!

Depending on the size of the panel it would be a good idea/ They don't weigh a lot at all. One appliance for several devices seems to make sense to me. Haven't tried one first hand though.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
not such a silly idea, I do like the sound of it, but I would not do it, in the camino you want to forge about your every day chores (like charging your mobile).

at the same time, it is true it would be ideal, walking to Santiago, normally the sun is on your back/rucksack, you any solar panel would have an excellent exposure to sun, so, technically, it does make sense ...

for convenience, it would be really easier to just charge every few days in the albergues as you move along, even better if you have your mobile off all day but one hour in the evening or so, just forget about mundane things...

and enjoy, buen camino!

the point of a solar power source is to cut out the need for several plugs for different gear. I have seen some interesting solar units that are quite small and about 100 dollars. they say you can power an ipod, electronic book and gps with it. I think I should also check out plugs. maybe there is one adapter that will work with several different things.
