Bom Caminho!

I am planning to walk Camino Portuguese in mid-May next year. I've done Camino Ingles before, oh boy how I miss the camino, and mostly stayed in public albergue. My question is, how are public albergue along Portuguese in terms of getting a bed? Do they normally get filled up quickly?

Thanks,
Dennis

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
As long as there are no public holidays there will be no problem to find a bed.
But the route from Valença or Tui can be a problem.lots of Spaniards walk the last 100 kms from Tui-which is good for their CV-and when there are holidays the route will be very crowded I did not look at the calender but you possibly google Portuguese and Spanish holidays in May to find out .

I walk in april next and know the 25 th of april is a very important holiday in Portugal and heard from a Portuguese friend that lots of Portuguese go to the coast for some days. And coincidentally on that day we will be in a village at the seaside.
So decided to book in advance to be assured of a bed that day. I could see on Booking.com that lots of hotels are fully booked that day and the days after.

Albergues you generally can not book so maybe you can book hotels or bed and breakfasts on your trip in advance from Tui.

Bom caminho

@Albertinho Nice to hear from you again my friend. As always, you've been a good source of Camino tips. I look into the possible albergues along the route and some of the private albergues are not that expensive. So I'll consider private albergues.

Thanks!!!
