I picked up a bit of an injury so have stayed a couple of days.
What a delight! Paula Castro is a lovely hostess and the place itself is amazing. A work in progress but the accommodation is fine. Paula claims to be a 'diablo' but I think St. would be more appropriate. She gets my vote for sure!
Only drawback - for me at least - is I have been bitten by local mosquitos who really make me itch. Oh, and the 'little black flies' (check out 'the blackfly song' on youtube) both of which however can be held at bay with DEET.
I think I may make a return visit another time when the mozzies and flies aren't likely to be so numerous.
There are a number of dogs around but usually only a couple about during the day - can be a bit noisy but certainly no worse than some snorers you could come across....

I stayed with Paula in April when we had so much rain just needed to stop for the night.
What a surprise. Beautiful host. Great place. Unfortunately freezing cold at that time of year but yes, it is a work in progress
Would stay again.
