Sorry to hear this happened to you, loss of the Compostelas and photos is especially upsetting as these are precious memories, at least the other things can be replaced eventually.
This is also a useful reminder to anyone travelling, whether on the Camino or in general, to keep a careful watch on valuables and make sure they're always with you. Have to say, wherever I'm travelling and especially on the Camino where we tend keep everything in the one pack, I make sure that my passport, credit/debit cards, and photo memory cards are kept on my body at all times. The phone and camera are in a bumbag and that is either with me or, in albergues at night, stuffed at the bottom of my sleeping bag. So, if my pack is stolen it's really only the pack and clothes that I need to replace, although medications could be a problem. But at least travel insurance would reimburse the costs involved in replacing most things.
