If you haven't already it may pay to check the dates of the wine festival in Logrono. Last year it started right about then and it was really worth a day. Lots of street performers, music, theatre, food, wine, cultural activities and even bullfighting.

Yes, @gerardcarey I have heard about it but I think we are a few days too early, and anyway we will be ready to start walking. It's the usual thing, after the long flight from Sydney, and the mucking around to get to our start, we both want to start walking. If it were further along the route it would be different.
Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

My son walked in Sept./Oct. a few years ago, though, and he kept walking into towns that were having wine festivals, so I'm sure you will be able to partake in some festivities. Buen camino, Kanga! Laurie
