I’m traveling from Bordeaux to SJPD tomorrow by train. I heard there has been a rockfall on the tracks but can’t find any news on line. Can anyone update the status? Many thanks.
Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
I have not read anything about rocks either. At the end of March, trains were interrupted between Bayonne and StJdPP due to a fontis, a collapse of the ground on the surface that appeared between Bayonne and the Béhéréharta stop. Béhéréharta is near the centre of Bayonne. If the problem hasn't been solved yet, there will be busses to replace the trains.
Chris ,there is no mention on the SNCF web site of this event.,only the strike action today. From my experience of the SNCF they normally provide a bus in this type of situation as indeed they have between Bayonne and St Jean pied de Port.Bon chemin.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

I found I couldn't make any reservation in SJPP in the coming days. They are fully booked. I can't find even a single bed. What should I do? Is there anybody has a same situation?
Roncesvalles or push to Burguete? I prefer to avoid the recommended stages to avoid the race for albergues. Do you suggest Burguete? Is Roncesvalles too busy?
