San Miniato to Gambassi Terme

Camino Francis 2012, 2014, 2016. Camino Norte 2018
Out the door by 7:30 and by 8:00 it was already 33C (91.4F).
Today's hike was through small towns, olive and fig groves and miles of grape 🍇 vineyards.
Several times when I was passing these small towns I would deviate off trail just to refill my water bottles.
By the time I made the last uphill climb into Gambassi Terme I was again out of water and had to resupply.
In total I drank 4 liters of water and that still was not enough.
Tomorrow I will start out earlier on my way to San Gimignano.

Bob, I don't know how you endure that kind if heat no matter how much water you drink. Do you wet a handerchief to tie around your neck? I have done that numerous times on my Caminos by afternoon and probably never had a day hit 90°F.
Btw, I took that same picture of all of those huge cactus and succulant plants when I walked by...seems like yesterday instead of nearly nine months ago.
 
@CaminoChrissy- I usually soak a Buff and wear it under my hat then use the umbrella 🌂.
That cactus 🌵 is huge
