Scenic or road route after Leon

Past: VdlP/ Sanabres, SGC, Fisterra Muxia May 2018
We are currently on CF and having a rest day in Leon and planning the next section. There are conflicting comments about the choice of the “scenic” vs “road” route after Leon -road splits around La Virgen del Camino - does anyone have an opinion?

2024 edition: The Brierley Camino Frances Guide
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
