Sending bag ahead

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
That is a very diffuclt day. You may want to send yourself ahead if you have a bad foot, or rest a day in Deba, or only walk to Orlatz and break the day in two.

For info:
http://greencartrans.webcindario.com/. Or else go speak with one of the taxi drivers at the taxi stop in front of the train/bus station and ask.

I have developed a foot problem - can Isend my bag ahead from Deba to Markina Xemein - and if so, how much does it cost
Thanks - Nick

7-8 euros
Stay in Pension Zumadi for an extra day
Stay in good accommodation in Markina , Hotel Ansotegi is highly recommended.

Start like an old man Nick and finish as a young one.
You have come too far for this short walk ,
Rest up in Bilbao , its great and get the train from there to Castro Urdiales because the section missed will not be missed believe me.
Stay positive and rest , it will all work out.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Thank you both for your kind replies; I should have mentioned that I decided that I could not carry my pack from Day 1 so I based myself in San Sebastian and over the 5-6 days walked all sections from Irun to Deba.
When I was younger and fitter I would've been embarrassed to admit to such a pathetically short walk, about 10 miles a day, but now, at 68, I am grateful for small mercies.
For the record I have 2 hernia problems; one repaired but both troubling me if I carry or strain. I also have 2 shoulder injuries, one old, one recent. My feet have numerous problems but the Hoka running shoes I discovered have been a blessing for me Even then, after about 10 miles I'm more than happy to get a bus/ train back to the hostel, change into the Tevas and head for the beach.
So, now you know, and you will also know why I'm nervous about leaving Deba; it's the point of no return
Sorry if there's too much info, but perhaps this might encourage more like me, who just love to walk, to work out a way to walk the Camino

If you sat having a coffee in Valcarlos Nick on any day , you would see between 20-30 taxis go over the mountain to Ronscavalles.
They are empty .............except for the luggage they carry.....and normally its 6 plus bags .
Many people do what you are doing , you just never hear.
Hope you got the elevator into Deba...........thank God the old lady showed us where it was ...and its mate to the ground floor.....we were gone.
It was a very long day.
Enjoy the sand in the tevas and the weeks ahead at your leisure.
Our best wishes to someone doing it his way.

Thanks Thornley, great advice and encouragement!
