I am hoping to walk some part of the Camino starting in roughly mid-September 2017. I walked in 2013, unfortunately some fairly serious back problems are currently posing challenges. I tried walking with a local Camino group back in June and I only managed about 8.5 km and was in a lot of pain going home. I have been too embarrassed to go back since.
Still, my weight is starting to drop and I have been fairly consistent of late in getting some walking in (5-8km a day during the week - split between between going to work and going back). It is long way from there to the 23km I averaged last time and there is no guarantee it is even possible to get to where I was endurance wise, but I am cautiously optimistic that I should able to manage some kind of return visit, anyway.
