Shipping a Suitcase From Ponferrado to Santiago

Two friends, first time pilgrims, will be walking from Ponferrada to Santiago from May 18. They will be touring before. They already have a hotel in Santiago.
What would you recommend? Shipping the bag directly to the hotel, and how? or having a light bag that can be put in a box and sent to the Post Office in Santiago?
