The quietly sublime motivates many of us pilgrims. Making time for simple photos in the fog might not get us to the next albergue as quickly, but it's progress nonetheless.

Love it! It's a beautiful and expressive photo! One can actually feel the climate. Anne

Wow!That's an exquisite photograph. I wish I could take good pictures, but have no photographic talents whatsoever. I wish I had a way to make a copy of this picture. I would mat and frame it. How did you capture such a feeling of peace and balance while maintaining the contrast between tree and corn stalks?

The trick to nice pictures isn't really the camera. Mostly, it comes down to being in the right place at the right time. It's all about the light.

In this instance the sun had just started to burn through the morning fog. That created a unique glow to the setting. As you see, the composition is basic, but the light and color are very welcoming.

Thanks! Glad you like it. If you're interested, I can put up the full-res image for download.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Thanks! That was really kind of you. Now I can enjoy it as often as I like, and when I find someone with a good enough printer, I'll have a copy made to frame-with your permission, of course.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
