Thanks for the info. I was thinking that because it was crossing from France to Spain it was crossing an international border, but of course this is the EU
 
Is it hard to find companies to do this for you? In walking in may and june and I want to take luggage and have it transported. Not sure how to go about it.

There are many companies who will transport your luggage, including the Spanish Postal Service "Correos". Search "Luggage Transfer" in the forum - top right corner of your screen.

You mean, by other means that are not simply walking?
You can take the Alsa buses to Bayonne than Pamplona. Make sure to check the bus schedule, because there is the Easter holiday in April and times change.
