The total from the daily reports of the Pilgrims Office is 1,544 compostelas, up from 970 last year, and a bit short of the 1,640 in 2010, the Holy Year. Even the bad weather did not deter pilgrims!

Thanks for the latest stats -- I always look forward to them. I find it fascinating watching the growth of the Camino.

1,521 compostelas? For what period of time is that, for a month or average per day? I'm curious because I'm not familiar with these numbers. Either way....wow!
