Storing Luggage at Barcelona Airport & Train from Barcelona to Pamplona

Dear all,

In a month, I'll be doing the Camino Frances for the first time.
I'm flying to Barcelona, then planning to take a train to Pamplona, and then a bus from there to SJPD.

I've got 2 questions:

I will have with me a big luggage bag (which I don't intend to bring on the Camino), but which I'll need after the Camino as I'm heading off to another country. Does anyone know of luggage storage services at Barcelona airport or nearby, that can hold luggage for about 2 months?

Secondly, is this the only train service/recommended as the fastest way to get from Barcelona to Pamplona? This was the only website I could find and it costs about 51 Euro for the train from Barcelona to Pamplona. Barcelona Sans to Pamplona by train : https://venta.renfe.com/vol/pay.do?c=_0mnQ

Thank you

@Steffy86 how big? If not too heavy to put in a parcel and post, you could use the service offered by @ivar, who runs this forum. He has a luggage storage facility in Santiago de Compostela, and we post stuff to him from our starting place. Ivar will hold it for 60 days.

As I understand it, because of Covid 19, the usual storage facilities at Barcelona airport was closed. Perhaps it has reopened now.

Using a Google search I did find a couple of luggage storage places in Plaça de Catalunya, Barcelona.

On getting to Barcelona to Pamplona, Rome2Rio lists multiple trains a day. Renfe is notorious for the difficulty of using its website, and does not post schedules until about a month before. I find it easier to use Trainline or Rail Europe

You can also travel by bus. Cheaper but takes longer I think. Here's the website.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
I stayed at the Ten to Go hostel in Barcelona about 100 m from Barcelona Sans. Very easy to catch early train to Pamplona. I stayed there on my return. Louis, the manager, stored my excess luggage for the time I was walking.

I have used the storage lockers at Barcelona Sants train station, but only for 1 week. Not sure if there is a time limit or not. I got all my information online, so you should be able to google it.

Yes, good idea to find accommodation in Barcelona to store your luggage if you plan to stay there before and after your Camino.

We were the same re luggage. We found that a suitcase up to 25kg can be sent via the post within Spain for 19.30 euros (an item of luggage, not a box etc) and Ivar in Santiago will store for 60 days for 25 euros. It was a great option, worked like a charm and we had fresh clothes as soon as we arrived in Santiago.
We also took the train to Pamplona from Barcelona and it was a fabulous service.

That's so nice of them. I will most likely book here.

If you are getting a train from central Barcelona there are plenty of luggage storage pkaces near Plaza Catalunya. Might get expensive, I think I paid about 5E a day last time I was there.
