The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Oh so sorry to hear but don't give up yet! Wednesday is still two days from now.

Lisbon is a big city, you will find enough stores to replace your stuff. Like Decathlon.
or this one

Good luck!!

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
Just wait for your pack - it really is bound to turn up - and in the meantime enjoy an amazing city!

There is a Decathlon store next to El Corte Ingles (huge department store) at

n.º 29, Av. António Augusto de Aguiar, 1050-251 Lisboa, Portugal

It opens at 10am.
Have been there myself and bought a few things.
Good luck.
Jill

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Good luck FSPotter, this is not a fun way to start a Caminho, that's for sure. But the good news is that the vast majority of delayed bags make it in a couple of days.

If you do need to replace your stuff, I would ask Via Lusitana for advice on good options. Decathlon is great for a lot of things but not all. As Jill says, the in-town store is next to the big Corte Inglés. Its inventory is pretty good, but nowhere near what the big store has. The big Decathlon store is a ways out of town, in an industrial park type area, but can be reached on the 750 bus. Keep us posted, and hope that you can manage to enjoy the beautiful city of Lisboa, even though the circumstances are not ideal.

Hey, Laurie, post a link to your Lisbon what-to-see guide for this pilgrim. I guess he could use it while waiting for his baggage to be delivered (approx.48hrs in EU as I remember from a similar thread)

It's a "walking tour of Lisbon", which I put together back in 2008, I think, when I spent a year there. I can tell you it is still current because some friends just took it in July! https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/my-walking-tour-of-lisbon.7257/

Good luck, FSP!

Wonderful news. I assume that you are travelling to Porto by train from Lisbon. If this is the first time you have made the journey watch out for what must be one of the best panoramic views in Europe (at least) as the train crosses the bridge over the Douro and you can see the city spreading out before you. Bom Caminho!

Great news! Glad you didn't give up and head home. Hope you had time to enjoy our favorite city. Lisbon is the best for things to do, food to eat, and the wonderful people that live there.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
