Dreaming of a 2019 Camino ...
Arrived in Santiago on Saturday 13th, very wet but very happy . I'm at the stage where the whole Camino is a blur but I will have fun sorting out my photos and mementoes when I get back to London.
I just wanted to thank everybody for the advice and information you've all shared - thanks to you, I didn't take unnecessary stuff, didn't get a single blister and more importantly, didn't give up when I was feeling hacked off.
As a summary, I loved walking through Navarra, hated Rioja and adored the Meseta! Not sure about Galicia yet but it rained every single day so still have to dry out before I decide

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

It is always nice when a student returns to say "thank you" to a teacher.

On behalf of all those pilgrims who have gone before you and who provided information, recommendations, or just advice that helped you in any way, "you are very welcome."

That is why the forum exists, and why many of us make it a part of our daily lives. It is part and parcel of giving back for the benefits and blessings we have received from doing Camino and being helped by others.

I hope this helps.

Congratulations - although your brain may be a bit fuzzed just now, you sound so happy - time now, to 'sit back and gradually process all that comes up for you'.

Congratulations. But I have curiosity because you say that you loved walking through Navarra and the Meseta but hated Rioja. La Rioja is quite similar to South Navarra. Why then?

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
