Time of past OR future Camino
Planning for Nov 2018
HI! I will be starting my Camino on the 12th of Sept 2018 from Pamplona - In my final packing am questioning whether or not to pack my 2.2lb 1KG sleeping bag/ 0 Celsius
I sleep cold and am planning on mostly doing private alburgaes and hostals-
I look forward to your guidance and input...and yes, truly excited, cannot sleep or sleep thinking of the Camino, wake up same- thinking of the Camino
All good!
Buen Camino!!

Hi, Earther,

I'm not easily cold but even in the summer I carry 250g sleeping bag (bought for 9,95€). If you plan to sleep in private accommodation I wouldn't bring such heavy sleeping bag as yours, maybe just a liner?

Buen Camino!

Well, all I can tell you is that I start a couple of weeks behind you, and I’m taking mine. This will be my fifth Camino - in the last four, I’ve taken my sleeping bag for three of them, and needed it about as many nights as I didn’t. Thst’s a fair few nights I would have been chilly without it...

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

It's my first Camino- I appreciate your thought and comment on this.
I guess the sleeping bag better get packed

Thanks again!

You can always post it to yourself in SDC if it weighs you down, Buen Camino!

I’ll be 9 days later than you. I’m taking an 800g bag. Being cold at night is the pits. I’d rather not carry the 800g but I figure, by Pamplona I will have lost that weight off my person. So I then get the bag for free!
Yeah, that's the alternative way to see things

I took my 2.1 lbs. (935g) sleeping bag when I walked the Camino Frances in Sept and Oct of 2015. I’m glad I did. I don’t sleep cold, but I liked having a known quantity to snuggle down into each night. It took some of the strangeness out of sleeping in a different bed each night. I know I slept better as a result. I’ll bring the same sleeping bag when I walk the CF again this coming Feb and Mar. Of course, then I’ll likely need it for warmth as well as the comfort factor.
