News from a German Hospitalero who is serving at the camping ground Orbitur in Lavras for the pilgrims who want to walk along the Rio Douro to the Ocean.

"Road and footpath to the mouth of the Rio Douro is currently closed. Tram line 1 does not run. Bus 500 departs from the city as usual, but is then diverted to the Ponte de Arrábida to reach the Douro.

The newspaper of today says a diversion was arranged for pedestrians. Approx. 1 km detour with some up and down."

So a start in Matosinhos (Metro or Bus 500) or at Castillo do Queixo (Bus 500, mouth of Rio Douro) is recommended.

Bom caminho;)

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

How recent is that report? Because Marginal was reopened today...
