I want a drone that carries the rucksack, has gps ‘follow me’ technology and can fly ahead to check the route and order a cold beer!

Oh I heard about this too! Cool idea but they need to figure out how to extend the battery life.

Even better if it hovers in line for you and picks up your Compostela at the Pilgrims' Office while you enjoy that cold beer.

Foolish pilgrims...you dont use a drone to order you a beer, you use a drone to bring you a beer!

That's hilarious.

I would add that an umbrella that's UV proof is very useful on caminos or other hot hikes

Very amusing. Now if the umbrella had solar panels on top.... Well, ok, but it would work as a sunshade.
