The Sea Inside (Mar Adentro)

Last night the Spaniards celebrated their movie awards of the year (the Spanish Oscars called Goya). "The Sea Inside" was nominated for 15 Goyas, but received "only" 14.

The movie is also nominated as "Best Foreign Film" at the Oscars in L.A., hopefully this means that it will be shown around the world as well.

I have seen the movie, and liked it. The story (true story) is about a Galician fisherman and his fight to the right to decide his own death. I know, it sounds kind of depressive.... and it is sad, but there are moments in the film where you laugh as well.

It has some great shots of Galica, in addition it give you a glimpse of the Gallego sense of humour.

I am curious if anyone else has seen it? Is it showing in your town? (I know we have members of this group in Brazil, Holland, Norway, UK, US and South Africa).

Greetings from a rather cold Santiago de Compostela!!
