I walked in June last year and some day's the heat was almost torture, def best to walk early in the day, lesson learnt, buen Camino.
I would love to be able to walk earlier. I am a teacher and have June - August off. From what I've read it sounds like the weather is changeable in June but quite hot in July. What were the temps last year? It looks like there is water along the way do people cool off in the rivers/streams?

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Bring a bathing suit or suitable swimming attire for Finisterre's beach! Just in case you go all the way!

Both Caminos I did in that time frame, June-August. In both never found it to be all that hot and not really that cold. Chilly in the mornings and evenings sometimes and the real heat of the day seemed to be after 2:00 pm, but certainly nothing like the heat you can have in the US that time of the year. Honestly, I thought the weather was perfect. Loved it. Dress smart. Pace yourself. Hydrate and wear a hat. It's all good. You would have to try really hard to be a heat casualty on the CF.
Yeah, a lot of places along the Way you can take a dip in a creek or river. Water is cold and feels good. Chilly water in Finisterre, too at the beach, but is very nice.
My first Camino Frances in 2013 (July-August) I had no rain at all. Last summer (June-July) had maybe three or four rainy days, but nothing too bad. I was lucky I guess. You can never predict it of course, but historically those are the drier months there.

Buen Camino. You will love it. It's a really cool experience.

I'm a teacher as well. We will be flying out with days of my school letting out on June 11 to get as many days in as possible before the late July /August heat starts.
