Train question Paris to Bayonne

Hi there, this is a very specific question. I am booking our train from Paris Montparnasse to Bayonne before we go on to SJPP. It is impossible to know when choosing seats on the TGV if you will end up facing forwards or backwards so I wondered if anyone who had made that trip could a)remember their seat number and b) if they faced front or back... so I can look on the carriage map and try to work it out. Thank you in advance.

I believe the right end of the map is forward
I do t really remember as it was almost 2 years ago but I think I had seat 41 and was facing forward ( I get quite nauseous if I sit backwards)

That is helpful! I do too

I'm pretty certain I faced forward on my trip on the same route there and back, but I can't remember! I went 1st class as it was only a bit more expensive, and the majority of seats in 1st class only face one-way which I assume must be forward! That would mean they would have to turn the carriages around though for the return trip - so I'm not sure. Probably not much help!
