Will it be possible in September to go from Portomarin to Oviedo and back in one day? Bus, train, plane, anything!

I wonder if this might not be another option too (take a taxi to Sarria first) http://www.rome2rio.com/s/Sarria/Oviedo - Possibly more connections.

Notice I reviewed our walk plan, and changed it from Triacastela to Portomarin.

The rome2rio site suggests it's a 4 hour bus ride from Portomarín to Oviedo, with a change in Lugo. Seems like a lot of traveling for a day trip, unfortunately. Any chance you are starting to walk further back? León to Oviedo is 120 km, a straight shot over the mountains with lots of daily buses and trains. That would be a much more manageable day trip! Oviedo is one of my favorite Spanish small cities, so I can understand why you would want to go. Buen camino, Laurie
