As to the second part, from Miranda da Ebro to Burgos, there were yellow arrows. And in the albergue of Puebla de Arganzon, there was a little information leaflet about that way. Beside two or three times I cannot remember bigger problems finding my way...
- in the fields after Pancorbo : I nearly missed one arrow because of huge vegetation (the way followed the railway truck for some time and at some point you have to cross a bridge and continue through some fields). By the way, at some point, there were no arrows but yellow plastic straps to waymark
- between Monasterio de Rodilla, after the "wind park" and just before the Roman road : in the woods, one arrow was pointing in the wrong direction
- after having left the Roman road, some km before Burgos - I missed an arrow at the end of a very long day
The only part that was really "hard" was between Briviesca and Monasterio de Rodilla : several times, the way was alongside a very frequented national road...
Hi, this I wrote answering another question about the waymarking on that part (topic about waymarking in this section)
I did this camino in 2010, so some time ago. Things might have changed by now - as most Jacobean local associations are quite active.
The waymarking was quite correct - and there were few hesitations. But it's quite different from the
Camino Frances where you have nearly too much arrows.
Some details about my notes:
- in the fields after Pancorbo: You follow the railway on the left side, then some km afterwards, you cross a (not very used) bridge to continue on the right side of the railway.
- the woods after the windparc: I realised quickly that there was that one arrow pointing wrongly.
There were albergues on the whole section.
As I wrote before (topic "Has anyone walked that road this year"), I walked from Puebla de Arganzon to Burgos in 3 days instead of 5 - I would say 4 might be the good compromise...
- Puebla - Pancorbo. (la casa parroquial). By the way, you can sleep in Miranda (youth hostal). But: doable distance, if you are +- fit
- Pancorbo - Briviesca. ( very "nude" albergue de peregrinos, 2 bunk beds, cold water)
- Briviesca - Burgos. ( attention: +- 48 km - not to recommend, I would not do it again...) Albergue in Monasterio de Rodilla on the mid-way to Burgos
Buen camino! Enjoy!
