An alternative route across the Pyrenees, allegedly older than Somport. has anyone done it?

No but when I was on the Pimont route a few years back I kept seeing a flyer for an albergue which was on an alternative and older route over the Pyrenees and I think it was this way. But apart from that sorry Nada.
