Hola Peregrinos,
I would love to walk the Via de la Plata leaving Sevilla on Ash-wednesday, February 10 to arrive at Easter,March 27 in Santiago.
I would like to know if the albergues are open at that time of the year. Taking a tent with me is something i would like to avoid, (but i would carry it happily if necessary)

Walking the Plata in February is fine. I started on the same date in 2014. Some of the municipal albergues were closed but there was always a substitute.

We had to cross lots of arroyos but I heard that this past February it was much beter. Do plan on rain.

Thanx for the info! Can one buy food daily, or should i stock up regularly? Just a question of organising my backpack

We never had a problem finding a store open to buy fruit etc.

I'm scheduled for April 2016, so you're trail blazing it for me . . .
