Intentionally got up late knowing today was a short mileage day.
On the road by 8:00 through forest roads and through several small villages.
In one village a cycling race was happening so I was detoured which added additional miles.
Around noon I wandered into Orbe, toured the town and met my Air B&B hosts.
Later in the day and through several recommendations I finished my day with a great pizza and a couple 🍻 beers.
Tomorrow bright and early I leave for the beautiful big city of Lausanne and a scheduled rest day.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The downhill into Lausanne is STEEP.
Hope you are taking time to visit the Int'l Olympic Musee on the shores of Lac Leman. I spent an entire morning and part of the afternoon there (but then I'm a track and field geek, originally from a little town outside of Eugene, OR and one of my mother's high school teachers was Bill Bowerman, US Olympic Coach in 1972 and inventor of the waffle sole running shoe.
Also spent part of a day in Montreux at the Freddie Mercury/Queen studio, now a museum in the Casino.
Bon Courage!
