Hi,

I would want to walk the caminho from Oporto to Santiago during Xmas holidays. Is it feasable? Are there any albergues open? What to bring in the backpack (I'm afraid it would be too heavy, I had some backache this month...)?
Thanks to all who can give some advice...

In December there should at least be some albergues open. Ask as you go along what is open in front of you. Check out details of the accommodation in this downloadable guide:

Your'e brave, we're doing this route in November, we usually go in August / Sept, latest to date was an October trip where it rained every day for 4 weeks... but you live in hope. Have a great trip.
