Walking over Easter

Time of past OR future Camino
Camino Frances 2016
I've just booked flights and will be starting to walk around from SJPDP 23rd March next year (planning early) and should be in Roncesvalles on Easter Friday then I suppose I'll be in Pamplona on Easter Sunday. I'm wondering whether any albergues will be open? Any advice gladly received.

I walked at a similar time in 2010. It is a time when many Spanish pilgrims seem to walk, and yes, the albergues will be open at Easter. The only exception would be those albergues that don't open until May or later, such as San Bol. They are not the norm.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Excellent news that they're open. Good to know it'll be busy too. Thanks for your advice.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I just walked this Easter and had no problems with albergues not being open. It was however very busy around Pamplona and I stayed a couple of nights in private albergues which I booked in advance. That way I walked more relaxed. Unfortunatley are some albergues in Pamplona misused by Spanish youth that are actually not pilgrims even though they have a credential, but use the cheap accomodation for a night out.
