Walking the Ingles Oct 6-13: Will I be all alone? Will enough alberges and bars still be open?

Time of past OR future Camino
Mid-September, 2015
I've had to both postpone and shorten my first Camino - originally planned to do the entire Camino Frances starting in mid-Sept, but now I can't arrive in Spain till Sept 29th and have only 3 weeks total.

So...planning to do the Ingles from Ferrol to Santiago, rest 2 days there then continue on to Finisterre. I don't mind solitude, but should I be a bit worried that I'm going so late in the season that many/most of the bars, shops and albergues might be closed?

Thanks for any advice!

Guides that will let you complete the journey your way.
All the Galician xunta (state run) albergues are officially open 12 months a year, although some private ones do close seasonally. I've walked 4 times through Galicia in late November or December and never had any trouble finding a bed, bars, restaurants or shops, so you shouldn't have problems in October - although some depopulated places don't have any facilities, and a few places have closed down because of the crisis.

I did the ingles october 2014 took 5 days all albergues open and there were always people about on the way. The only problem you might have is weather/rain which is tedious but bareable. us the private albergue in sigueiro (Delias) if stopping there. buen Camino

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
I usually walk this route in winter and have never had a problem but I do usually stay in hostels which are very good value so do not have to carry a sleeping bag or towel. The albergues usually have a number on the door to call if they are closed.

Thanks everyone! I am relieved to hear that it won't be deserted as I'd thought. Excited and little anxious, I leave a week from tomorrow!

Stick ,

Very nice route. Enjoy

Buen Camino..
