Which Camino?

Hello,
I walked the Portuguese Coastal Route this year and loved it. I am returning to Spain next June and would like to do another Camino, but only have 10-12 days to do it. I will be 68 and I am in good shape, but uneasy with heights, so not into too much walking on steep cliffs. I would appreciate any suggestions.

I've never come across a steep cliff on any Camino route in Spain. The closest would be a pretty steep rocky path on the Camino Mozarabe but that is a very little walked route. Certainly no steep cliffs to negotiate on the Frances, the Ingles, the Primitivo or the Portugues after Porto.

Camino Ingles povides a nice 100k+ walk from Ferrol and a Compostella when you finish. Or you could try Puebla de Sanabria to Santiago on the Silver Way...a little bit longer though....

The Inglès and then on to Finisterre would fit nicely in your time frame

Incidentally, the Primitivo is also doable in 12 days, but that timeframe requires a couple of longer days & doesn't really leave you with any rest/short days . No steep cliffs, but one very steep decent.

What about the Frances from Ponferrada? There's no law saying that you have to start in St Jean ....

On the San Salvador if you walk to Pajares, there are some very narrow paths right next to a pretty steep drop off, if not a cliff. Not the best for someone with the fears described.

And here's two from Hospitales, and another from the descent to Embalse de Salime on the Primitivo. Not sure what the OP means by "steep cliffs," but i wouldn't recommend the 3rd through 6th days to anyone sensitive to heights.....
