Hello, just a quick note to all who are considering this route to confirm that the river crossing is no problem. The water is only about knee deep. We were advised by a local that the water was too deep to cross and that was probably true at the beginning of April following the rains but it is definitely no problem now.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

I have had contact with the Badajoz Jacobea association, as I crossed te river on May 9. They are building a bridge over the river, so here is their email response of May 10:
We hope that the work on the walkway will be completed soon. It has already been awarded to the company that is going to build it and they have a period of 4 months to complete it.
We will spread it in our social networks.
