I'm planning to do the Del Norte end of May & June and have heard that there is a beautiful walk from Biarritz to Irun - Has anyone done it and if so can you give me some details please?

Thanks

Bob

If nobody else posts info about this topic on this thread, anyone looking for some info about that walk can take a look at the link I provided on the Del Norte End of May thread.

I've walked from Hendaye to Irun (and recommend starting in at least Hendaye to anyone doing the Norte). I'm sure there are routes from Biaritz to St Jean de Luz and then on to Hendaye. But don't know the details. It is mountaenous, but if you hug the coast.....

Do get a Basque cake in Hendaye across from the train station.

Hello,

I'm setting off to start the Norte on Thursday. I want to start from Biarritz and head for Irun. Can anyone point me in the direction of a map or some directions that I should follow?

Thanks
Robert

This is my track. Uploaded it to Wikiloc https://www.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/spatialArtifacts.do?event=setCurrentSpatialArtifact&id=23336130 the hotel near airport to Irún.
There are 2 places where I went the wrong way, first in a roundabout and then in Bidart so ignore those side tracks. The first yellow arrow is on a bridge just next to Gare de Biarritz under Boulevarde Marcel Dassault.
