I thought for sure that "Dupo" was a typo (after all, who would name a town Dupo?), but it's a real place. Depending on weather, a meetup for lunch in Springfield looks like it would be about the halfway point, and I'd be game. The Capitol building is beautiful, Frank Lloyd Wright's Dana Thomas house is beautiful, and then there are all the Lincoln sites, so it wouldn't have to be a totally wasted day! I might even be able to squeeze in a protest to whatever inane legislation my dysfunctional state legislature happens to be considering that day. There just aren't a lot of people who like to talk endlessly about the camino in my part of the world, so I have to go to extreme lengths to find them.
No just passin thru. Imay visit this summer/fall. Ill keep you up todate.
Just back from a very nice lunch and walk through Starved Rock with @Camino Chris and @jpflavin1 of course on the way home I thought of several things I had wanted to talk about and forgot. An excuse to go again soon -- maybe for fall colors??
