Planning the Camino Portugues in 2018
I am starting from Valenca 9 June 2018. I wondered if it's possible to buy tickets at Campanha station to Valenca? The Rome2Rio website lists that there are 4 departures and each alternate one is direct; that advance booking is necessary. Has anyone done this? My next question is whether I should take a rain jacket? bearing in mind it's early June. We have booked our first nights accom in Valenca and intend to book/call ahead, the rest if possible, en route. Are there any stops along the way that accom may be heavily subscribed? just so we're forewarned. Thank you for any tips and advice you can offer.

Don’t worry. Last sunday I took the train from Valença to Porto Campanhâ . The conductor on the train sells you a ticket. 11,60 € and if you are “ terceira idade “ 65+. It costs you 8,47 €. No reservation necessairy. There are “ fast trains”. They only stop at some stations. Time 1h 45 And trains stopping at every station. 2.15 h. I took an early train 8h36 and the ticketoffice at the station was not open. But as said. The conductor on the train sells you a ticket

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Thank you Albertinho! :) That's the train sorted. Now my equipment and accommodation....
