Hi friends

I'm walking to Portomarin today and see that Lugo is about a six hour walk away. Anyone have experience walking off the Frances to Lugo? Is it safe (not a lot of traffic, shoulder on the road, etc?)

Thanks

Hi VeganCamino, most of it you will walk along the LU-612. It is a stretch from about 26 kms. I haven't walked it but I drove that road once. It is walkable, but it will not be a nice a walk. The road is quit straight forward were cars will drive quit fast. On most parts there is a hard asfalt shoulder from just about 1 meter, with no possibility to walk more to the sides.
If you have a navigation app on your phone, try to find an (partly) alternative route which isn't that much more kms.
Buen camino!

Hi, has anyone walked the Primitivo in mid-October? What was it like? Weather, tracks and accommodation? I plan to walk from Oviedo to Lugo only, then bus to Santiago after. Thanks for your input.
