    Yes you can reserve two nights. Last year I arrived in late August and started on the Way two days later.

    I stayed at San Andres in September 2023. It was comfortable and the pilgrim meal very filling. The young man who was running the shop also was in charge of accommodation registrations.

    Definitely being used as Tourist Information Centre and shop when I visited on 9 September this year. An albergue nearby would have been much appreciated.

    A word of warning on trail runners or light weight shoes.

    Walking the Camino Frances at present in Altra Lone Peaks with Scholl inserts. Added the inserts after hiking on flinty inclines on the South Downs Way en route to the Camino. I am not doing 30 kms though, as I have a flexible timeframe for the pilgrimage.

    Completed this section two days ago in dry weather with poles. I am a mature pilgrim and I took this section slow and steady. Could have been more challenging if it had been wet.

    When pilgrims use Vaseline for blister protection, are they spreading it over the entire foot, just the sole or just around the toes? Also does the use of Vaseline make the washing of socks a tricky task?
