Just to clarify for the OP who is a first timer, there are no ‘official stages’. There are just some end-of-stage destinations that are more popular than others because they are in guides (eg Brierley, Gronze etc), have more facilities, are a...

As a retired airline employee and a current pilgrim, my experience is sometimes you can get away with it and sometimes you can't regardless of airline. You're over the official limit so expect it to be checked. If the agent is not looking too...

Thank you Tincatinker for that link. I did find some good information. If I understand what I am reading this is the 7th annual organized 30 mile beach walk scheduled for DEC 13-15, 2024. I found this [edited for length] information. About the...

Does anyone know if this is an actual pilgrimage or just an official starting point? “Camino Del Mestizaje” AKA, the Baby Steps Camino. Please forward any references.

A long post, so not for everyone. Might help newbies, and bring a smile of remembrance to oldies. Lesson 1 (St Jean): get back to the albergue by 10pm or you WILL be locked out. Lesson 2 (Orisson): if you want a bottom bunk claim your bed...
