Thank you. I have also been looking in this area. I want to travel from Cadiz to Granada and it seems that I have to backtrack through Seville, Cordoba and then to Granada, rather than being able to go straight across. 🤪
Recently I was looking for a train from Malaga to Cádiz, RENFE came up with nada. The reason being that for most routes the system does not handle connections - which is strange because it's not unusual.

Thanks. Yes, I couldn't work out the Renfe site when trying to book tickets from Paris to SJPP so I ended up using Trainline. I will try again for the Spanish trains. I agree not user friendly. I am keeping an eye out as you can't really book...
I would book on the site of Renfe. Don't expect it to be client friendly though. The most annoying thing is that you'll never know when tickets become available. I also tried to book for the 24th of May to no avail.
