Thanks people. Ive decided no rain pants. For a "what if" situation, i cant justify carrying them. Will just deal with it the best i can on the day if it eventuates.
Okay so im about 4 weeks out from the start of my Camino and the last thing i am thinking about is..rain pants. Actually there is something else but thats a separtae topic al together
My worry is...if it torrentially rains down on me for a whole day, i get wet, thats fine, thats not my probelm...
Hi everyone! So i originally started this post and quietly read everyones replies and tips. Thinking id just take a small bottle of shampoo/cond and refill along the way.
Today on a whim i purchased a Lush bar shampoo and conditioner.
Ummm...its awesome! Very surprised! I have a lot of hair...
After reading through this forum that Merino was all the rage with everyone and upon recommendation from someone i knew also, i promptly went out and bought two icebreaker tops. A long and short sleeve. Then i bought a second long sleeve Cedeberg top. After a few wears i could not longer deny...
Yep..well this is my theory also..its all I've been walking in! So I know they are comfy. If it gets too hot..I figure it wont be too dramatic to do a quick change somewhere with the help of my friend walking with me for cover up? Yes, not as quick and easy as just..zipping off..but do-able...
Thoughts on gym leggings and running shorts instead of your traditional "zip off hiking pants"
I've bought a couple of pairs of pants and ..well I've already sold one on off on ebay..
Oh thanks! I had looked at these but they seemed way more expensive and i didnt think they shipped to Australia for some reason. Looking again i see how the pricing all works out once you input your bag temp/sizing etc and its quite similar price to the Cumulus and weight also...and yeah i think...
Hi all
Ive been reading people's recommendations for sleeping bags and was wondering if anyone has used the Cumulus Magic 125 zip? At 315g... seems like a winner...and affordable price also. Thoughts? ideas?

Haha i definitely need conditioner. Im a girl with a hell of a lot of hair on my head, it will be completely unmanageable and a knotted mess without it. Girl problems..!
Ok this seems simple enough to solve but its like i can't!
What do people do about shampoo and conditioner? I dont want to cart around two big bottles/extra weight. But i need it! (I dont do shampoo and cond in one)
Do i get smaller bottles and re-fill? Do i just buy extra along the way and...
Thanks for all the info and tips people!
Im hoping to carry approx 7-8kg on my Camino. Im training with 10kg. When i carry the 10kg it feels surprisingly light actually. And yep am very conscious of the weight sitting on my hips also and proper positioning of my hip belt.
As well as walking i...
Thanks @LauraK ! I know the straps you mean and ive been adjusting, loosening tightening both of those to see if it eases off the ache and nothing.
But i do think i just solved my own problem!
I found a "measure your torso" guide online. Then compared my meausrement to the torso length on my...
Hi all
Ive begun training with my pack and so far i can walk just over an hour with my pack loaded up to almost 10kg with no drama at all. It feels really comfortable and i almost dont even notice my pack at all. After a good hour and a half i start to get sore upper back, like around my...
Hey Wazza, i had thought to do this actually. Would I need the silk liner also? Like..what would be the purpose of having the silk liner also you think? I've never had one of those sea to summit reactor things, so unsure what they are like to sleep in on their own.
