Reservations - how far in advance
I've just completed Cahors to SJPP and booked everything 3 months ahead using Booking.etc and individual websites. No problem at all with getting rooms rather than dorms. Having said that there are a number of nights where dorms are the only option for keeping the price down: Luzerte, Nogaro...- Footsore

Starting Before SJPDP
I'm starting from Cahors May 4th. I'm actually picking up from an earlier start in Le Puy 30 years ago! Really looking forward to pushing on along the via Podiensis with the aim of ending up at Pamplona. By the time we get to SJPDP we'll be match fit and hopefully find the climb to...- Footsore

Via Podiensis May 2023
I'll be picking up the camino from Cahors on May 4th. I've found the easiest way of booking ahead is directly with the gites. I've booked through to Pamplona with only one or two stops needing to be booked through a third party search engine.- Footsore
