I took a couple of diversions using the Buen Camino App, to avoid roads - one had roadside markers as a 'complementary route' but the other was unmarked and I'd have got lost without the App and GPS.
As others have suggested, I would recommend John Brierley's 'A pilgrim's guide to the Camino Ingles'. It often provided useful detours when road walking was likely to be aversive and was thorougly inspirational to boot! A wonderful guide.
Good point. We are in Santiago for a day first so will check their site first and if they don't, we will try the Ferrol store. Thank you for the reply!
